Many, many thanks to the more than 60 of you that braved the blustery weather Tuesday night to attend our first of many seminars on DNI and a myriad of other living skills essential to any good expat's tool-kit.

Attorney Solange Verón (solangeveron@yahoo.com.ar) for giving us the broadest possible presentation regarding DNI and Legal Residency. (http://www.bagelazo.com.ar) and Juan Pablo of Pura Vida juices (http://www.puravidabuenosaires.com).
It was really touching to see their unsolicited support for our immigrant/expat community and the fledgling IMAS. That support and your tremendous attendance demonstrated the kind of force that our community can bring to bear.
Last night's gathering was most notable for the passions and frustrations evinced by the members of the audience as to importance of gaining legal residency. Navigating the bureaucracy is crazy making. Everyone left with the knowledge that they are not alone. Many folks left with a new friend that is in exactly the same situation.
While not quite as raucous as a 19th century union hall, the first gathering of IMAS started to take on a really lively aspect as members of the audience began to spontaneously form their own groups along the lines of where individuals currently stand in the DNI process and where their curiosity led them.
As with all aspects of our community's hard-won knowledge base, the IMAS team will be posting everything we gather and glean here on your website.
